Mrs. Lorraine Marie Nixon, age 88 “Entered into Rest” on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at her residence in Turlock with her family by her side. Mrs. Nixon was born in San Rafael, California and has lived in the Turlock area for 76 years and she was a homemaker for 66 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family. Her survivors include: Four Sons – Leonard Reason (Linda) of Kingman, Arizona, Edgar Reason (Nina) of Stockton, Jerry Reason (Janele) of Turlock and Tony Reason of Turlock; Two Daughters – Marlene Evans of Turlock and Marie Flores (Roy) of Oakdale; 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Preceded in Death by Husband Melvin E. Nixon in 2008.
Services: Visitation - Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock; Chapel Service – Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, Turlock; Interment at North Hilmar Cemetery District, 8710 N. Tegner Ave., Hilmar.
