Lucy Natal Costa, age 70, of Turlock, California passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Lucy was born in Vila São Sebastião, Terceira Açores to Leonoer Lopes Reis and Manuel Pacheco De Melo.
Lucy is survived by her spouse of 43 years, Alvaro Santos Costa of Turlock, her brothers Manuel Mello (Maria Bernardete) also of Turlock and Pedro Reis (Elena) of Atwater along with her sister Maria Gomes of Turlock. Lucy also leaves behind her Godchildren and many nieces and nephews to honor her memory.
Lucy was preceded in death by her father Manuel Pacheco De Melo, her mother Leonoer Lopes Reis and her sister Elvira Maciel.
Lucy was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar, a member of Society of Our Lady of Miracles Gustine and a member of P.F.S.A.
A Visitation for Lucy will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
A Rosary Service followed by a Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, CA 95324.
A Committal Service will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
Serving as pallbearers are Dario Costa Jr. , Dillon Costa, Ariel Costa, Helder Costa, Jorge Albert Costa and Kelly Mello.
