He’s survived by; his wife, Maria Avelar of Turlock. Two sons; Celestino Avelar of Brasil and Julio Avelar of Los Banos. One daughter, Maria Isabel Avelar of Angola.Tree Daughters-in-law; Maria Avelar of Turlock, Paula Avelar and Eduarda Avelar, both of Idaho.Two Brothers; Antonio Avelar of Idaho and Domingos Avelar of Newman. Three sisters Rosa Pereira of Watsonville, Ana Cunha of Gustine and Victoria Silveira of Merced.14 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Combined Service, Rosary and Funeral Mass; 11:30 AM, Friday, March 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock.
Interment will follow at Los Banos Cemetery District, 16575 S. Center Ave., Los Banos, CA.
