Maria Noemia Avelar

Mrs. Avelar is survived by her Son- Manuel Paulo de Sousa and wife Lubelia of Turlock. Daughters- Maria J. Sousa and husband Jorge, Ana Paula Avelar, all of Turlock. 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers- Ildebrando P. Silveira and Sergio Silveira, both of Canada, and Urbano Silveira of São Jorge, Azores. Sisters- Auduzinda Silveira of Virginia, Odilia Silveira and Ida Dias, both of Canada, several nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Maria Noemia Avelar is Preceded in Death by her Husband- Manuel Avelar, 2014, and her Parents- João and Maria da Silveira. She also was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock.

Services: Visitation- 2:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service,

286 W. Main St., Turlock, California. Combined Service of Rosary & Funeral Mass- 12:00 PM Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Sacred heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Mrs. Avelar will be laid to repose at Los Banos Cemetery District, 16575 S. Center Ave., Los Banos, CA.
