Mrs. Maria Isabel Rodrigues Ponceano Entered into Rest on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California at the age of 84. Mrs. Ponceano was born on July 7, 1927 in Sao Pedro, Terceira, Azores and immigrated to the United States in 1978 and was a Homemaker for over 50 years. She is survived by: Four Sons - John Ponceano and his Wife Lassalete of Turlock, California, Jose Ponceano and his Wife Laurentina of Turlock, California, Jeronimo Ponceano of San Jose, California and Domingos Ponceano of Gustine, California. One Sister - Paulina Borba of Los Banos, California and Four Sister-in-Laws all of Terceira, Acores. Mrs. Ponceano is Preceded in Death by Her Husband Jose Ponceano on April 4, 2003.

She was a member of "Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church" of Turlock and Irma da Senhora do Carmo.

Services are planned as follows: Visitation on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton and Dias Chapel, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. Rosary on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Turlock, California. Internment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
