Rosa P Medeiros

Mrs. Rosa Pereira Medeiros, age 84 “Entered into Rest” on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her residence in Atwater with her family by her side. She was born in São Caetano, Pico, Azores and has lived in the Merced Area for 44, she was a line worker in a poultry plant for 17 years and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Atwater. Mrs. Medeiros is survived by: Husband –João M. Medeiros of Atwater; Two Sons – Horacio Medeiros and his wife Tina of Hanford and George Medeiros and his wife Blanca of Clovis; Three Daughters – Fernanda Medeiros and her husband John of Atwater, Mary Jones and her husband David of Ensenada and Rosemaria Garcia and her husband Luis of Livingston; Brother – Antonio P. Evangelho of Monteral, Canada; Two Sisters – Hermina P. Goulart of London, Ontario, Canada and Luisa Pereira Evangelho of Toronta, Canada; 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granchild; Preceded in Death her Grandson – Gary Medeiros, Parents – Antonio & Maria Evangelho, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

Services: Visitation – Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA. A Combined Rosary and Funeral Mass on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1799 Winton Way, Atwater, CA Interment – following the Mass at Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond Ave., Winton, CA.
