Betty Dean Banks, age 71, of Cottondale, Alabama passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Burial will follow. Betty was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Irma Banks; brother, Larry Banks; sister, Brenda Banks. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Mims, Michael Mead; brother, Donny Banks; grandson, Donny Mims. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a long-time employee at Waffle House. She loved her "Hargrove Road" family. Pallbearers will be Terrell Averette, Duck Averette, Justin Herron, Tommy Averette and Andy Averette.
