Betty Sue Day departed this life to be in the presence of the Lord on December 24, 2017 at the age of 73. Graveside services will be Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Memory Hill Gardens with Bruce Baker officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam C. and Marie Hannah Day; her brother, Curry Day; her sister, Ruth Day Webber; and her nephew, David Webber.
She is survived by two sisters, Jackie Day Baker and Sandra Day; sister-in-law, Betty Joyce Day; and one brother, U. Joseph Day, Sr.; four nieces, Tammy Day, Tina Robertson (Doug), Summer Day Allen (A.J.) and Hannah Day; six nephews, Danny Baker (Kathy), Bruce Baker (Gail), Barry Webber, Tony Day (Jennifer), Adam Day (Sara) and Joey Day; two great-nieces, April Baker and Hannah Hardin and three great-nephews, Alan Baker, Tyler Baker (Jess) and Ranson Day.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are neighbors of the community she grew up in, former employees of A&P Grocery Store, graduates of Holt High School Class of 1961, Hannah, Rawlins and Day cousins and their children, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Tillman, 5th floor nurses and 3rd floor ICU nurses of DCH Regional Medical Center.
