

Brian Cook, age 37, of Cottondale, was escorted to heaven by angles on July 15, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his Pawpaw, Herman Corder, and his Pawpaw and Mawmaw Cook, Joe and Frances Cook.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Donna Cook; his grandmother, Nell Corder; his aunts, Dot Ray and Susan Marcum (Darrell); his uncles, Lynn Corder (Melinda), David Cook, Darrell Cook (Patsy), and Steve Cook (Dee); special cousins, Trent, Abbey, and Reagan Ray; many more cousins, aunts, uncles, and relatives; and Uncle T and Brian's special friend, Christi Russell.
Whether it has been the comfort of your presence or the touch of your hand or your whispers of love, each one of you has meant so much to us.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Ray, Trent Ray, Brock Corder, Blake Corder, Neal Cook, Shane Cook, Michael Marcum, Derek Marcum, Joseph Cook, and Stephen Cook.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Keith DeBell, 6th Floor nurses and staff at DCH, Dr. Waits and the Wound Healing Center, Rev. George Jackson, Heritage Nursing Home, Hospice of West Alabama, Tuesday Karaoke at the Pottery Grill, Cottonwood Park friends, Tuscaloosa First Church of the Nazarene, Doc and Yvonne Kendrick, Jackson Fuqua, and all the hundreds of friends Larry, Donna, and Brian were blessed to have over the past 37 years.
