TUSCALOOSA – Charles Anthony Petruzella, age 69, passed away February 13, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Petruzella was preceded in death by his parents, Tony J. Petruzella and Katherine Petruzella; and grandparents, Anthony Petruzella and Josephine Angelo Green.
He is survived his wife, Jelly Garsel Petruzella of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughter, Traci Lynn Sawyer of Hayden, Ala.; step-children, Gary Reynolds, Jr., Jennifer Humphries, Richard Gerald Reynolds, Joey Reynolds, Astoria Fondren, and Lisa Reynolds; sister, Linda Diane Brewis; brother, Joe Petruzella; and grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Barber and Jonathan Robert Sawyer.
Charles was kind, selfless, generous, calm, and gentle to his wife. He was a very supportive, loving husband and a motivator. He was loved by his family and friends because of his approachable and friendly nature. Charles loved kids and coached park league football and baseball for many years.
