

A visitation will be held at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Mr. Potts was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; parents, Vaudie and Frank Potts; and sister, Virginia Griffin.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Susan Potts; son Charles "Chuck" Potts, Jr. (Mandi); sister, Charlotte Potts; brother-in-law, Bobby Griffin; grandchildren, Brenna Potts and Katie Potts; nieces and nephews, Scott and Jason Griffin, Heather Alsup Coleman and Matt Alsup and their families, Scott Griffin (Zora) and Marley, Jason Griffin (Donna) and Kathleen, Heather Alsup Coleman (Billy) Chase and Brady, Matt Alsup (Amy), Presley and Ryleigh. He is also survived by Lenny Fulmer (Angela), Tom Fulmer (Amy), David Fulmer, Lindsey Fulmer Pearson (Colter) and Colt and Emery, Brenda Porter (Bruce), Ashley and Scott and their families, Bobby Hicks (Micky), Thomas Hicks (Mary), Grayson and Hudson, Glenn Hicks (Missy), Lindsay Hicks Jones (Jeremy) and Isabella “Izzy”, Greg Hicks, Kimberley Hicks Respinto (Joey) Adeline and Rollins, Gary Hicks (Angie) and Cory, Becky Massengale, Kim Massengale Herbig and her family, Ryan Massengale and his family, Kathy Hicks Wheat, Brian and Mark Wheat and their families, Valerie Hicks English, Rachel English Farley (Brad) and family, Jennifer Hicks Pait and three children, Sandy Hicks Reid (Mike), Kelsey Reid Robinson (Jon) and family, and Cora Reid Baird (James) and family.
Throughout his career, Charles was an accomplished electrician and co-owned Acro Electrical Contractors for over 20 years. His commitment to his work and community was evident in all he did.
After retiring, Charles embraced his love for golf, spending time playing and working at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex. An avid fan of Alabama Football and Softball, his enthusiasm for sports was well-known among his friends and family. Charles also had a particular fondness for Taco Casa, especially their hot & spicy offerings.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tuscaloosa Moose Lodge, and employees and members of Ol' Colony Golf Complex.
Charles F. Potts will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his love of sports, a devoted, caring and loving husband and father who loved his whole family, and his zest for life.
