Christine Herron

Christine Herron, age 83, of Coaling, died May 16, 2016, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Samuel Herron; father, Jess Middleton; mother, Ailene Middleton; sons, Michael Herron and Wayne Herron; and sister, Janice Farrington. Survivors include her sons, Samuel Ray Herron of Coaling; J.L. Herron of Coaling and Timmie Joe Herron (Teresa) of Vance; sister, Wilma Brogan of Indiana; brothers, Milford Middleton of Ohio and Ed Middleton of Ohio; and twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Christine Herron "Granny Herron" was born January 9, 1933 in Harlan, Kentucky. She was married at the age of 15 and spent her life dedicated to her entire family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. She loved our Lord and Savior and found great joy in worshipping him and peace in trusting him. Watching her walk with Jesus is what will give us the strength and love to go on with our lives. Granny, you will forever be in our hearts. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Herron, Sammy Herron, James Herron, Justin Herron, Steven Herron and Chad Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Southern Care Hospice, Carolyn Sherman and Peggy Elliott.
