A graveside service for Christine will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Waycross Bible Methodist Church, Marion, AL 36756.
Christine Kligge was born in Dessau, Germany, on February 27, 1952, to Ludwig Kligge and Therese “Rose” Hellwig. Christine lived in Germany for several years before immigrating to the United States with her mother. Christine then lived in the North Perry community with her mother and her stepfather, Norbert Barnette, until his death. She also lived with her aunt and uncle, Vicki and Woodye Barnette, for some time in Perry County. Later, she became
a resident of Walker County, AL, where she lived until her death. Christine will be remembered for her big smile and infectious laugh. She is survived by her friends and staff at Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center, TriCounty Aid, Ridgewood Health Services, and her aunt, Vicki Barnette of Marion, AL.
