Claude C Neely

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Nellie Sue (Nell) Neely; his daughters, Cathy Young (Roger) of Pensacola, FL and Angie Ashcraft (David) of Tuscaloosa; his son, Travis Neely (Carol) of Tuscaloosa. His brother, Jim Neely of Guntersville and his sister, L.B. Jarrell of Albertville. Six grandchildren; Shane Booth (Cindy), Luke Young (Jen), Faith Mottesheard (Ryan), Jason Ashcraft (Halie), Alaina Ashcraft, and Hope Neely (fiancé Connor). Six great-grandchildren; Bailey Young, Casey Young, Campbell Shields, Tucker Ashcraft, Rory Jo Mottesheard and Audrey Ashcraft.

He is preceded in death by parents, Clyde Cooley and Lula Bell (Blancett) Neely, sister, Glenda Neely, brothers, Bill Neely, Alfred Neely, and Don Neely.

Pallbearers will be Shane Booth, Jason Ashcraft, Ryan Mottesheard, Connor Pace, David Ashcraft and Roger Young.

Honorary Pallbearers are former co-workers at R.L.Zeigler and Peco Foods, Inc.

Mr. Neely graduated from Marshall County High School and worked 17 years as Plant Superintendent at R.L. Zeigler. And retired as Quality Inspector at Peco Foods, Inc.

Mr. Neely was a hardworking man who was proud of his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved Alabama Football, Ancestry Research, Coin and Stamp Collecting and spending time in his garden during his retirement years.

Private, family-only graveside services will Sunday, January 26, 2025. Memory Chapel Funeral Home presiding.
