Detective Cousette help our family a few years ago. He was a good officer an we will never ever forget what he did for our family. I did not know your Dad, but have the greatest respect for a young man who was an officer of the law, and one who took responsibility for his children.  As you young daughters go forward from today, remember your father fondly and the things he tried to teach you.  Be strong young women as a memorial to him. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. I pray God gives you all strength and peace during this difficult time. 

I am deeply saddened by the death of Investigator Cousette. He was a friend and former colleague of mine from Tuscaloosa City Schools, Juvenile Court and TCDHR. Each time we worked together. Cousette would always be diligent in the pursuit of the truth, justice and would take the time to mentor youth that were not making good choices. He always made you feel safe when you went out with him on cases. Truly an honorable man and a hero to many.
My prayers are with his daughters, Celita, his family, friends and TPD. May GOD give them a peace that surpasses all understanding that will keep their heart and mind through Christ JESUS.
