
Earnest H. Britain, age 81, of Duncanville, died March 18, 2016. Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emiel and Irene Britain and sister, Frances Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Britain; sons, Wayne Britain (Kerry) and Michael Britain (Judy); sisters, Martha Jean Stephens and Juanita Hill; grandchildren, Nikki Britain, Michelle Cox (Randall), Beth Overby and Sandra Rhine (John); and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bert Stephens, Colin Tilley, David Miller, Jeff McJenkins, Kent McCray, Steve Hall, James McCoy and Grover Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Bo Hoggle, Jack Stephens, Bill Stephens, Eddie Morgan, David Wyatt, Kenneth Wyatt, Gordon and Lousie Tilly, John Morgan, Dr. David Harding and staff, Dr. Mantel and staff, staff of Kmart Pharmacy, David Kemp, Rudy Brown, Mervin Hoggle, Minnie Wyatt, Joyce Patrick, Paul Hoggle, John and Beth Johnson and the current and past employees of The Highway Department. He was a Traffic Signal Tech, Sr. at the Alabama Department of Transportation for 25 years. Pops will be greatly missed by all.
