Eva H. Duncan

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Leon Duncan, son, Walter C. Duncan, and beloved sister, Mary Ruth Bolin.

She is survived by her brother William Beaty; daughter, Linda Miller (Mike); son, Wayne Duncan (Dianne); grandchildren, Jason Miller (Jennifer), Andrew Duncan (Amanda), Matthew Duncan, Christy Duncan Dailey, and Wendy Duncan.

She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She had many special friends throughout her long life.

She retired from AT&T Bell System (Nokia) after 38 years of service. After she retired, she earned an Associate Degree from Shelton State Community College. She taught English as a second language at Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

Mrs. Duncan was a Charter Member of the Skyland Baptist Church where she was recently honored for her dedication and service to the church. She taught Sunday School for over 60 years and Bible School for 50 years. She was a volunteer at DCH for many years, and made hundreds of pillows for the heart unit.

Pallbearers will be Joe Duncan, Jim Bradford and the Deacons of Skyland Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Memory Chapel Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. A service to honor her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Chapel and graveside service will be held in Memory Hill Gardens. Skyland Baptist Church Minister, Jon Wiggins, will lead the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Skyland Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, AL, for the building fund.
