

VANCE Frances Weaver Sudduth, age 82, of Vance, died July 23, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Gary Youngblood and Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Sudduth; two infant daughters; parents, Charlie and Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Weaver; sisters, Nora Lee Weaver and Lena Barranco; and brothers, John and J.D. Butler.
Survivors include her son, Darrell Sudduth; sister, Linnie Jewel Weaver; nieces, Mary Edith Tingle, Ginger Turner (Mike), Katherine and Emily Turner; and nephews, Jerry Tingle, Jr. and Stephen Turner all of Vance.
Frances faith in God was a very important part of her life. As a youth, she was active in Coaling Baptist Church. Later she moved to Florida and continued her ministry of serving God by helping others and witnessing. When she and Darrell moved back to Alabama she was unable to continue her activities but was an inspiration to others during her illness. Frances was a member of Vance Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Alacare, Cancer Center, Dr. Reginald Motley and Dr. Winkler.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of West Alabama or a charity of one's choice.
