Frankie Wilson

James “Frankie” Wilson, age 70, of Buhl, Ala., passed away July 31, 2020. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial provider, directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the funeral home.

Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Wilson; wife, Mary Abrams Wilson; sister, Linda Wilson; sister in law, Kay Abrams; and brother in law, Rex Abrams.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Styron Wilson of Buhl, Ala.; daughter, Kattie Wilson of Buhl, Ala.; son, Gregory Wilson of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sister, Penny Browning (Glenn) of Buhl, Ala.; sister in law, Nell; brother, Larry Wilson (Katy); and grandson, Bentlee Wilson.

Frankie was an avid drag racer, paint and body man. He was runner-up in Pinks: All Out in 2009. He was a husband of 40 years, father of two children, and a Paw Paw to one grandson. Frankie would do anything to help anyone out.

Pallbearers will be Zach Browning, Micah Easterling, Dylan Dyer, Jamie Browning, Dustin Freeman, and JD Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers are TDOT workers past and present, fellow racers of Holiday, I22, Lassiter Mountain Raceways, Northport Auto Supply, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and the Taylor, Sears, Porter, Turner, Rasbury, and Sexton Families.
