Jack was a selfless man who loved his church, family, and countless others. He had a deep faith in Jesus and a true servant’s heart. Jack was a devout member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church where he attended regularly until his health declined. His favorite saying was “Jesus, I trust in you.”
Jack was the Patriarch of the family. He kept up with all of us and made sure our family traditions were carried on. Jack was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School Class of 1960 and the University of Alabama with emphasis in special education. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War and spent most of his career working with special needs children in the Shelby County school system. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and was most proud of his prize football signed by “Bear” Bryant, Gene Stallings, Nick Saban, and Mal Moore.
Pallbearers will be Chris Brennan, David Croft, Blake Hannah, Adam Johnston, Caleb Ray, and Brian Williamson. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church or Nick's Kids Foundation in Jack's Memory.
