

Glen Cocherell, 76 years of age, of Northport, Alabama passed away on October 18, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama due to natural causes. His end of life ceremony will be held at Tannehill State Park-Church on April 2, 2022 beginning at 11:00am-1:00pm. Glen Cocherell was born on November 29, 1944 in Washington County Minnesota to William Reese Cocherell and Alberta Bernice Cocherell. He grew up in a large, loving family with twelve brothers and sisters. After graduating Stillwater High School in Minnesota, Glen joined the Navy. After time spent, he returned home and joined the work force. He worked many years in retail, management and construction for many years of his life. He was the construction foreman for J.A. Fielding Construction for six years and Key Construction for two years. He also worked at various retail stores in his last few years. When he was not actively working Glen enjoyed spending time with family and had a passion for cooking and fishing when he was able. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Alberta Cocherell, brothers Billy Cocherell, Douglas Cocherell, and Roger Cocherell, sisters Helen Pratt, Phyllis Bolick, Kathy Hill, and Glenda Jean Cocherell. Glen Cocherell is survived by his wife of 16 years, Brenda Cocherell, daughters Dawn Jackson(Bill), Kimberly Black(George), and Diana Cameron. Surviving siblings are Evelyn Elam, Jocelyn Brumbach, Sharon Penland, Chuck Cocherell and Donald Cocherell. Surviving grandchildren include Kerstin Myers (Galen), Gage Reed (Kristlyn), Kyle Cameron, Allie Cameron, and Braden Cameron. Great grandchildren are Carson Despot and Karter Reed. Glen is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was a kind, loving man who will be greatly missed but deeply remembered.
