Gloria Ann Connell

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents John Earl and Willie Mae Lewis; sisters Peggy Sellers and Linda Winters; and brothers Hershel and Bruce Lewis.

She is survived by her husband, Travis Connell; son, Dewayne Connell (Carol); daughter, Pamela Croft (Jamie); grandchildren Kristen Cherry (Triston), Cody Connell, Zack Connell, Megan Hughes (Daniel), and Blade Anderson; sisters Sadie Shults (Ralph), Teresa Hall, and Cindy McCarter ; and great-grandchildren Kyle Hughes, Kylie Hughes, Mac Cherry, and Millie Cherry.

Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her grands and great-grands. She loved hard--and worried enough for everyone. She loved the Lord and, as a pastor’s wife, served beside her husband for many years. Gloria was talented in many things, including sewing and making the best banana pudding. She did many odd jobs in her lifetime but treasured being a stay-at-home mom for her kids the most; she loved taking care of her family.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Linda Baughtman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calcedonia Cemetery in Buhl, Alabama.
