Harold E. Scales, age 88, of Montgomery, died February 2, 2016, at Jackson Hospital. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, at Mesopotamia Cemetery with Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Survivors include his wife, Martha Scales and daughters, Susan Scales and Ruth Scales.H. E. Scales served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States military during World War II. He later served the state, employed at the Alabama Highway Department as a Highway Design Engineer.
