COTTONDALE – James E. Colburn, age 56, of Cottondale, died February 13, 2018, at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by Ora Jean Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Shari Colburn; Stephanie; daughters, Jonette Dozier and Christy Weaver; son, Jonathan Gray; parents, Eugene Colburn and Teddy Jones; sisters, Melanie Conway, Sandra Riley and Rhonda Price; brothers, Jimmy Colburn and Tony Colburn; and grandchildren, Austin Braydon, Chloe Reach, Kadden Dozier and Alexis and Macie Gray.
He was a loving father, brother, Paw-Paw. He was loved by everyone.
James was a hard-worker and worked for R&D Maintenance for 23 years.
Honorary pallbearers are David Gray, Dr. Adler and staff at Alabama Oncology and a special thanks to his healthcare providers.
