James Holcomb

James Holcomb, age 70, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at home. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025 At Memory Hill Gardens with Levi Morrow officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Ila Faye; father, Odis Holcomb; mother-in-law, Elanor Ussery Holcomb.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Holcomb; daughter, Rebecca Ballard Holcomb; son, Joshua Holcomb; brothers, Randy Holcomb (Delana), Ricky Holcomb (Janet), Ronnie Holcomb (Patty); extended family, Danette Booth, Breanna Porter, Daniel Porter, Aliana Porter.

James was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on March 18, 1955. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1973. Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the United States Army. In 1976 he married the love his life, Linda, and had 2 children. After his first tour in the Army, he went to work for General Motors. He retired from the corvette plant in Kentucky then he returned to Tuscaloosa to enjoy the rest of his life. Wade loved everyone and never met a stranger. He was an amazing man who loved his wife and enjoyed life to the fullest. He fought a hard battle and was a very strong soldier until the very end.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hurst, Daniel Porter, Danette Booth, Breanna Porter, Randy Holcomb and Ronnie Holcomb.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Oasis Hospice.
