James Thomas "Buddy" Maxwell, age 76, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 13, 2013. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Youngblood officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond H. Maxwell; his mother, Wilma Kizziah Maxwell; and his sister, Margaret Ann Maxwell.
Survivors include his sisters, Betty Maxwell Whitehead (Galen) of Tuscaloosa, Lucy Jane Maxwell of Tuscaloosa, and Mary A. Maxwell Lindsey of Ohio; and his brother, Ramon "Pete" Maxwell (Linda) of Brookwood.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, Memory Chapel Funeral Home, Memory Hill Gardens, Sunset Funeral Home, and Sunset Memorial Park; friends of Hopewell Baptist Church; Berry Meggs; Bruce A.
