

James Melvin Hubbard, 67, of Duncanville, was called home to heaven on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church on Sunday, December 13, at 1:00 with Brother Greg Walker officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity provider, directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lorene Hubbard; sister Nora Morrison (Joe), brothers Carl Hubbard, R.V. Hubbard and John Hubbard (Josie); brother-in-law William Watts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debra Kay Hubbard; son Michael Hubbard (Robin); sisters Emma Pearson (Gene) and Yvonne Watts; brothers Oddie Hubbard (Era) and Mack Hubbard (Savannah); sister-in-law Katie Hubbard; grandchildren Erin Hubbard, Kelsey Hubbard, Connor Ryland and Hunter Aleah Hubbard; mother-in-law Margie Porter; sister-in-law Cheryl West (Dennis); and brother-in-law Michael S. Porter (Sherry).
Melvin graduated from Holt High School, retired from B.F. Goodrich. He was a member of the Hagler Volunteer Fire Department and attended Liberty Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Eli Morrison, Elvis Hubbard, Albert Hubbard, Joey Hubbard, Scotty Hubbard, Walter Pearson, Eric Hubbard, Devin Huffman, Noah Levi Cooper and Trey Pearson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Hagler Volunteer Fire Department, Liberty Baptist Church, Hagler Community, Louise and Robbie Lindsey.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church or Hagler Volunteer Fire Department.
