James Warren Reeder, Jr., age 74, of Tuscaloosa, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2015, at UAB Hospital. Memorial services will be Friday, April 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, with Rev. Jerry Croft officiating. Visitation will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.He was known to many as ""Jim,"" a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Warren Reeder, Sr. He was born in Memphis, Tenn., and followed in his father's footsteps by serving in the U.S. Navy.He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Reeder of Tuscaloosa; his wife, Barbara McClusky Reeder of Tuscaloosa; his three children, James Warren Reeder, III (Dolores) of Cottondale; Laura Reeder Jones (Billy) of Coker, and Andy Reeder of Pelham; his three grandchildren, Michael James Reeder, Matthew Landon Jones, and Lacey Camille Jones; his two brothers, Claude Reeder (Debbie) of Lafayette, La., and Charles Reeder (Shelley) of Gordo, Ala.; his sister, Dian Kelly of San Antonia, Texas; as well as many other loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
