

TUSCALOOSA – Jane D. Logan, age 87, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died November 6, 2017, at home with family and friends by her side. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at Williamson Cemetery in Northport with Rev. Delbert Canterbury officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, November 9, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Clara Daniel; sons, John Michael Logan and Daniel Hughes Logan; and siblings, William Daniel, Russell Daniel, Pauline Morgan, Wilson Daniel, Hazel Canterbury and Mildred Daniel.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Wayne Logan (Jan) of Tuscaloosa; sister, Ruth Duffy of Elrod; grandchildren, Michael Todd Logan (Kristin), Anna Marie Cain (James), Riley Patrick Logan (Amy), Ryan Daniel Logan and Grace Conner; and great-grandchildren, Logan Marie Massey, Charleigh Massey, John Fischer Logan and Killian Riley Logan.
Jane Logan was born in Tuscaloosa County and lived her life in Tuscaloosa County. She married Hughes Logan in 1950 and they had three sons.
"Mama Jane's" calling was caring for children which she did at West End Christian and American Christian Academy for almost 40 years. She touched the lives of so many kids during that 40 years and retired at the age of 80!
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Burnette family, Margie, Madelyn, Elaine, Trudy and Sonny, Margie and Nancy Payne, Dot Gilbreath, Angie Conner, all of the Amedysis Hospice nurses who took such good care of her, her caregivers, Vickie Smith, Amy Hall and Teresa Ledbetter.
She loved her church and her Sunday school class at Taylorville Methodist and the Saturday night West End Suppers and cookouts at Sonny's.
Pallbearers will be Michael Todd Logan, Riley Patrick Logan, Ryan Daniel Logan, Tim Duffy, Danny Duffy, Ricky Duffy, Harold Pearson and Sonny Barnette.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Douglas Reynolds and staff, Dan Carden and all of ACA employees, all friends of Old West End community, Taylorville United Methodist Church, Buddy Sumner, Buddy and Juanita Windham, Claude Windham, the Hastings family and Sherry Ballard.
