Janice Templeton Miller

Born September 9, 1958, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Hugh Anthony Miller; her parents, Levon L Templeton and Cora Minnie Templeton; her brother, Bobby Ray Templeton; nephew Jimmy Levon Templeton and Brother-in-Law Richard Frank “Rusty” Miller II.

Survived by her are two sons, Hugh Anthony “Ty” Miller II and Christopher Mark Miller (Jaime); Grandchildren, Charlotte Presley Miller and Cru Thomas Miller; Brother, David Eddie Templeton (Debbie); Sisters, Kathy Templeton Ernest (Bennie) and Reta Templeton Faulkner (Scott); Sister-in-Law, Viola Pugh Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice graduated from Tuscaloosa High School and attended Shelton State Community College. She spent much of her life working for the Tuscaloosa County School System and later a production center for Mercedes Benz. After her retirement she devoted a majority her time to her grandchildren – helping with various school related activities.

In other moments, she enjoyed reading novels and collecting wind chimes and sitting on her back porch overlooking the lake.

A Graveside Service for Janice will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials can be made to the United Way of West Alabama or Skyland Blvd. Baptist Church.
