Jimmy West, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara West; father, Burt Lawrence West; mother, Lessie Webber West; siblings, Mildred Squires, Billy West, Eloise O’Hara, and Jack West.

He is survived by his children, Christy Wise (Wallace), Dr. S. Mason (Arlin), Jimmy West Jr. (Jenny), and Jessica Davis (Josh); grandchildren, Mason Wise, Alex Wise, Lily Grace West, Jayden Wise, and Hudson West.

“Mr. Jimmy” loved people, and was kind to everyone. He never met a stranger and had a heart to help people in need. He was a true gentleman. He was a wonderful husband to Barbara for over thirty years before her passing in 2010. Together they raised four children, but helped raise many more. He was an amazing father and grandfather who always had a funny story to tell. His smile will truly be missed, until we see him again.

A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens, Wednesday, June 15th at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Bro. Dax Lanacaster.

Pallbearers will be Bill Trawick, Jason West, Wallace Wise, Bobby Hallman, Mason Wise, and Alex Wise.

Honorary Pallbearers are Amy Wyatt and the staff at North River Primary care, Cornelius Chapel Baptist Church, Susan Largin, Marsha and Aaron at Walmart Pharmacy.
