Johnny Allen Price, Sr.

BROOKWOOD – Johnny Allen Price, Sr., age 67, passed away January 22, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Price was preceded in death by his father, Leon Dan Price; father and mother-in-law, Jessie and Ethel Herring; and grandparents, Oscar and Mamie Price, and John and Katie Rigsby.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jo Price of Brookwood, Ala.; son, Johnny Allen Price, Jr, (Alecia) of Brookwood, Ala.; grandchildren, Emma Lynn Price and Ella Reed Price of Brookwood, Ala.; parents, J.C. and Viola Lizana of Gulfport, Miss.; sister, Ruth Robinson of Pass Christian, Miss.; brothers, Victor Price (Sandy) of Brookwood, Ala. and Kenny Price (Debi) of Vance, Ala.; brother-in-law, Jessie Herring, Jr. (Joan) of Brookwood, Ala.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Johnny Price, Sr. was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, son, brother and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Doris Price, for 45 years. Johnny served in the United States Air Force from 1972- 1976. He never met a stranger and he was always ready and willing to help anyone who needed it. Johnny loved to fish and spend time in the outdoors and he was always looking for his next project. While he will be greatly missed, we rejoice in knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and one day we will see him again.

Pallbearers will be Billy Bosch, Stephen Cross, Bill Dorrough, Chad Hardy, Austin Herring, Kenny Herring, Daniel Price, and Matthew Price.

Honorary pallbearers are the doctors, nurses and staff of DCH MICU1, the Town of Brookwood, past and present employees of Archcock, and a host of family and friends.
