Lenora S Stewart

A visitation for Lenora will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Brother Brian Moon will be officiating.

Lenora is preceded in death by her husband, William "Dub" Stewart - last of 12 surviving siblings; and sons, Billy Burnett, Donald Burnett, and Carl Roy Burnett; and parents, Rudolf and Jessie Snipes.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Walker (Gary); sons, Jerry Wayne Burnett, (LaJune); grandchildren, Shad, Iuna, and Tara Burnett, Yelonda Hall, Mark Hall, Matt Ray, Shannon Burnett, Chris Burnett, Rhonda Boatman, Stephanie Townsend, Karen Horton, Johnny Burnett, and C Burnett; lots of great and great-great grandchildren that she loved.

She loved politics and law, and was the first woman to run for sheriff in 1984. She made the best chocolate cake and cornbread dressing. She made gowns for the local funeral homes, including the one she has on today. She will be missed.

Pallbearers are Matt Ray, Taylor Ray, Sharron Burnett, Shad Burnett, Hunter Horton, and Jacob Horton.

Honorary Pallbearers are ProHealth (home health and Hospice) Bro. Brian Moon, her great-grand daughters, Courtney, Michelle, Amber, and Madison Langston, her nephew Cody Wade and Windsong South Neighborhood.
