Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Loree Ingram; sister, Peggy Herrington; and an infant son.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy; daughters, Kim Ingram Bass and Vicki Ingram Allen (Barry); brother, Roy Dewey Ingram; grandchildren, Joshua Allen (Nasreena) and Anna Allen Carter (Cliff); and great-grandchildren, Henry Allen, and Sylvie and Everett Carter.
Leonard retired from The Tuscaloosa News after 41 years of employment. He faithfully served our country in the Army National Guard for fourteen years. He also served in many leadership roles in his church. In his free time, Leonard enjoyed gardening, landscaping his yard, feeding and watching his beloved bluebirds and hummingbirds, and being a faithful fan of the University of Alabama football team. He was an adoring Granddaddy to Josh and Anna, and boasted about their accomplishments to all who would listen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nick’s Kids or Hospice of West Alabama.
