Marilyn Smith Greear, age 58, of Northport, died May 22, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with David Hartsell officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William Greear of Northport, Ala.; daughter, Sarah Greear of Vienna, Virginia; sons, Jason Greear of Northport, Ala. and Josh Greear (Sara) of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Glenda Lee (Jerry Lee) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; parents, Louise Smith Roberts and Obert Roberts (step-father) of Northport, Ala.; and grandchildren, Amineta, Andrew, and Joshua Greear of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Jason Greear, Josh Greear, Jerry Lee, Gray Lee, Lewis Johnson, and Bill White.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the DCH Cancer Center.
