Marvin Thomas (M.T.) Lake, 91, of Moundville, passed away on May 16, 2021 at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11AM from Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of Devotion, with Jason Duckett officiating. Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of Memory Chapel, a Dignity provider.
Mr. Lake was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Boyd lane and Florence Hoggle Lake; one sister Eunice Zarantonello (Tullio) and one brother Larry Cornell Lake.
He is survived by his wife Irene Hill Lake; sons Michael Terry Lake (Beth) and Stephen H. Lake; sisters Margaret Ann Duncan (Alton) and Evelyn Strickland (Ed); brother Ralph Lake (Helen); grandchildren: Stefanie Michelle Deal (DJ), Kevin Thomas Lake, Bryan Patrick Lake (Laura Wright) and great granddaughters: Alleigh Michelle Deal and Emily Kate Deal.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: DJ Deal, Kevin Thomas Lake, Bryan Patrick Lake, Scott Elliot, Hugh Kinard and Macon Beckam. The family wishes to recognize Moundville Baptist Church, Long’s Caregiver Services, Mary Elliott, Jacob Knighten and Hospice as Honorary Pallbearers.
