Mrs. Michelle Hankins Hankins Hayes

Michelle Hankins Hayes, age 36, of Tuscaloosa, died June 25, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Shon Smith officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, C.H. “Doc” and Margaret Skelton and James and Dorothy Hankins.

Survivors include her husband, Nathan Hayes; her daughter, Margaret Hayes; her son, Jonah Hayes; her sister, Melynda Wheeler; and her parents, Don Hankins and Barbara Hankins.

Michelle Hayes was a proud, devoted mother to Margaret and Jonah. She was a faithful wife who provided unwavering love and support. Michelle found joy in creating and maintaining a home for her husband and children. She was a caretaker to all, whether it be a member of her family, a stranger, or a helpless animal in need. Michelle was in awe of all of God’s creations. She spent her days tending to her garden, watching birds, caring for her animals, and appreciating nature. Michelle translated her passions through her God-given talents. Her artistic soul wove brilliant colors into the canvases of our lives. We will miss her smile, laughter, and love for even the simplest of things.

Pallbearers will be Hank Hankins, Brady Boyd, Donny Wheeler, Josh Wansley, Roy Foster, Adam Gray.
