Myra Lou Marquis age 95, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama peacefully passed away on March 27, 2025 at the Helen H. Hahn House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Marquis; her parents, Roy Ashton and Myra Merrill; her brothers, Benjamin E. Merrill (Lurene) and Roy Ashton Merrill Jr. (Alyne) and sister Betty Wright (Thomas). Survivors include her daughter, Candy M. Crawford (Richard) and her grandson Hayden Crawford.
Myra Lou was born in Shannon, AL. on April 25, 1929. She was a great southern cook and her extended family often gathered at her home on holidays. Later in life she enjoyed walking, reading, working jigsaw puzzles and being outside. Fried chicken and hot black coffee always made her smile.
A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens on Sunday April 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Richard Crawford, Gene Falls, Doug Hallmark, Harold Reece and Gary Sherrill.
