Nancy C. Ewing

Nancy C. Ewing, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Friday, November 10th 2023 at home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, November 14th 2023 at Memory Chapel Funeral home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Nancy was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gene A. Ewing; parents Mary Munoz Mejia and Hector Morales Mejia; sister Arlene Alfaro; and brother James Mejia.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Charlene Faulkner (Robby), son Bryan Ewing (Tammy), sister Sandy Gomez (David) of Pomona, CA, brothers John Mejia (Josie), Jack Mejia (Jackie) of Pomona, CA, grandchildren Shaun Faulkner (Charele), Shera Williams (Brad), Jenna Ewing and Nickolas Ewing, great-grandchildren Isaac Faulkner, Jessi Williams, Caedan Faulkner, Ziah Williams, Gabriel Williams, and Isabella Faulkner.

Nancy is dearly loved by her family. She loved them all well. Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:25-31

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers: employees of Southland Transportation Group, Legacy Transit and Development, Ameritire, members of Soma Church, Dr. Stephen Brown, Dr. James T. Barnett, Aspire Rehabilitation and Hospice of West Alabama.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
