Nell Maxwell Snipes, age 87, of Northport, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010. A memorial service will be 9:30 AM Saturday at First Presbyterian Westervelt Warner Chapel with Dr. Charlie Durham officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
Nell was born Sunday, October 7, 1923, and grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi. She married Lowery Snipes after WWII and had two children, Fay Taylor and Frank Snipes; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her two surviving sisters are Ann McLendon of Tupelo, Mississippi and Doris Gooden of Tucson, Arizona. She loved her family and many firends, including her dear friend Mary McCann of Troy, Missouri.
