Nora Morrison

Nora Morrison, age 85, of Cottondale, formerly of Duncanville, died February 23, 2016, at Heritage Health & Rehabilitation. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Liberty Baptist Church with Ray Hallman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wallace Morrison; parents, Victor and Lorene Hubbard; and brothers, R.V. Hubbard, Carl Hubbard and John Hubbard (Josie).Survivors include her daughters, Belinda Toft (Keith) and Vicky Walker (Robin H.); son, Eli Wallace Morrison (Debra); sisters, Emma Pearson (Gene) and Yvonne Watts (William); brothers, Oddie Hubbard (Era), Mack Hubbard (Savannah) Melvin Hubbard (Kay); sister-in-law, Katie Hubbard, grandchildren, Joseph Morrison, Tim and Erin Jones, Margaret and Kyran Smithson and Rebecca Walker; and great-grandchild, Marleigh Morrison. Nora was a great homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Her joy was her husband and family. Sharing time with Joe in the slaughter house they had and raising goats and cows. Nora's passion was crocheting and canning vegetables. She loved everything to do with the farm. All of her family will carry on her hard work ethic. Pallbearers will be Scotty Hubbard, Walter Pearson, Alan Hubbard, Bobby Hubbard, David Hubbard, Elvis Hubbard, Albert Hubbard, Michael Hubbard and Pat Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers are Heritage Health & Rehabilitation nurses and aides, Joseph Morrison, Sunny Morrison, Billy Morrison, Fred Morrison and Mary Donald. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
