Chum never met a stranger. He was a phenomenal friend. His boundless sense of humor was outweighed only by his genuine kindness. He enjoyed all kinds of music, and his hobbies included fishing, hunting, cooking, and gardening. Chum loved Alabama football, but most of all he loved his family. He had a close relationship with his parents, brothers, and sisters. He loved spending time with his sons, playing basketball with Walden (12) and fishing with Charlie (18). He loved spending time with his wife, Marilou Briney Baker, to whom he was married for nearly twenty-two years. She was the love of his life. He will always be loved and missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chum's honor to SPAN of Tuscaloosa County or a charity of your choice.
