

Pamela “Pam” Anderson Howard, age 52, of Vance, died May 14, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Northport Church of God with Bishop Greg Strickland and Rev. Jerry Reach officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Charles Anderson, and her grandparents, Leonard and Ruby Anderson and JR and Dollie Reach.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Howard; her sons, Eli Howard and Ethan Howard; her mother, Annette Anderson; and her sister, Dianne Averett (Johnny).
Pam spent her life as a servant of God and a servant of people. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years and employed by DCH for 25 of those years. She was an active member of Northport Church of God, where she sang in the choir. Pam loved to share her testimony for the Lord with the song, “I shall not die but live.” She now lives with our Savior, where she shall not die again. Pam loved her family, church family, and friends, and all who knew her loved her.
Pallbearers will be Trey Averett, Chad Howard, Josh Averett, Russell Howard, Jeremy Elam, Dennis Reach, Britt Howard, and Andy Reach.
Honorary pallbearers are deacons, ushers, and members of Northport Church of God; DCH Home Health; nurse Fay of DCH MICU; doctors and nurses of Lewis & Faye Manderson Cancer Center; Wallace Chapel Church; doctors and nurses of Internal Medicine Associates; and the Vance Volunteer Fire Department.
