Richard Wyres, age 75, Of Tuscaloosa, died May 25, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gilgal Baptist Church with Bro. Bart Latner officiating. Burial will follow in Gilgal Baptist Church Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lonnie Bell Wright; his father, Fred Owen Wyres; his brother, Willie Wyers; and his sister Ruby Colburn.
He is survived by his wife, Janice N. Wyers; his daughters, Kristie Wyres and Julia Scholz of Tuscaloosa; his sons Lonnie Wyers and Chad Wyers of Tuscaloosa; his brothers, Bobby Wyres, Tommy Wyres, Parson Wyers, and Frank Wyres; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Daddy was known for his kindness, generosity, and love for Jesus. He touched the lives of many people and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
