Robert "Bob" O. Owens, age 82, of Tuscaloosa, died September 15, 2014. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Terry and Rev. Edwin King officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Beulah Owens; and his niece.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Jo Owens; daughters, Lisa Price (Dennis) and Kristin Hamner (Todd); son, Trent Owens (Kay); brother, Gordon Owens (Angela); and grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Foster Hamner, Drew Hamner, Lily Hamner, Isabell Hamner, and Kasey Price.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Knox, Frank Hamiter, Ed Vaughn, Wallace Vaughn, Larry Smith, Courtney White, Foster Hamner, Tim Smith and Glen Collins.
Honorary pallbearers are breakfast friends from Hardee's on 69 South, Glen Collins, Jeanette Lamar, Barbara and Robert Hill, John Warner, Verba Lee Keith, Murray Burroughs, Dr. Leonard Jones, and Dr. Dinesh Chandra.
