
Robert J. Hepburn passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016, surrounded by people who loved him. He was a World War II Army veteran who fought at Bastogne and four other European campaigns. He came home from the war and started a lifelong commitment to serving others. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Adine White and is survived by his daughter, Janet. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed by all whose life he touched.Bob, as he was known, was born in Grampian, Pa. A graduate of Penn State University, he remained loyal to his alma mater, and even in the last weeks of life he would, with a grin, sing the Penn State fight song. He was an active member of Forest Lake United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa. He has lived in Nashville, Tenn. the past four years.Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa and graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday morning, April 15, 2016, at Evergreen Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
