Robert "Mike" Kelly, age 73, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Robert was born October 31, 1948. Family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Kelly; father Willis Jack Kelly; mother Ruth Elizabeth Kelly; brother Joseph Long; and Patsy Gray-Kelly; Barbara Lee-Kelly, and other relatives.
Survivors: daughter Patricia Michele Fuller (Bobby), sons Brian Michael Kelly (Amy), Robert Patrick Kelly (Angela); Sisters Sally Marling, Patty Hendershot, Mary Helle, (Amiel), Colleen Burgess (Ron); grandchildren Rachel, Katie, Aaron, Julie, Zach, Zoey, Emily, Abagail, Avery Jones, Canan Pugh, Henry Lee, William Lee, and Great Grandchild; Brantley Kelly and many other relatives.
Mike Kelly was born in Bellaire, Ohio. He married High School Sweetheart Patricia Yourkovich and worked at U.S. Steel, and North American Coal Company until 1984. Mike was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was an active member of the community: led many community service groups, coached his children’s sports team and was an active Union Member. After relocating to Brookwood, AL to work at Jim Walters #4 and #5 mines. He also worked for and retired from North River Coal. His last place of employment was a security officer at the Mercedes Benz. He was a loving father, grandfather, and always went out of his way to help others. A member of the Cottondale Elks club; where Mike often loved to sing karaoke with his Sweet Heart, Cherry Cooley Roby and many other friends.
