Robert Earl (Bob) Stokes, age 54, of Tuscaloosa, passed away June 3, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Chaplain Ransey O'Daniel officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Roscoe and Martha Fleming Stokes.
He is survived by his sister, Jane Crowe (Edwin) of Tuscaloosa; his brother, Samuel Stokes (Janet) of Russellville; four nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; one great-niece; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was a Christian who loved to make others smile.
The family extends their gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers of Hospice of West Alabama and the DCH Cancer Center.
