Steven Wesley Reid, age 72, of Gordo, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at home. Steven was born October 3, 1949 to the late Loyd P. Reid and Mary B. Reid. He went to Brookwood High School where he played football. Steve went on to Operate Heavy Equipment at Drummond Coal Company. He lived his entire life in the Tuscaloosa and Pickens County Area and was known and loved by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Thedda R. Bolton.
He is survived by daughter Dolly R Davis of Cottondale; sons Wesley M Reid of Cottondale and Steven L Reid of Moundville; grandchildren: Wesley Reid, T.J. Reid, Meeka Miller, Boo Morrison, Jesse Reach, Luke Reach, Hanna Reach, Christopher Reid, Christian Reid, Haley Blanco, Kaley Reid, Jamie Adams, Randy Adams and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Steven will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel, 2200 Skyland Blvd. E., Tuscaloosa, AL. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Memory Hill Gardens, Masonic Gardens. Services will be under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider.
