Ted Steven Denton

TUSCALOOSA – Teddy Denton, age 50, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died September 23, 2016. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Shaun Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Denton, Shirley Denton, Wilford Brown, James Pruett, grandparents, in-laws and aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife, Carol Faulkner Denton; sons, Todd Denton (Brooke) and Ted Denton (Chelsy); sisters, Tammy Gray (Larry) and Kelly Wyatt (Gary); sisters-in-law, Chris Tidwell and Missy Ewing; brothers, Tommy Denton (Gracie), Timmy Denton (Laurie) and Richie Denton (Alaina); brother-in-law, Robby Faulkner (Char); father, Thomas Denton; mother, Pat Pruett; grandchildren, Cason and Brayton Denton; Godchildren, Brittney and Jessica Richieson and Tyler and Ashley Lee; and a host of nieces and nephews. Teddy was a very loving man, he never met a stranger and he loved everyone that he met. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved to sit around the fire at the hunting club reminiscing with friends and family. Teddy was a diehard Alabama football and NASCAR fan. He loved to ride his Harley. Teddy is now resting in peace with his daughter. In honor of Teddy, we the family, would like for you to wear your Alabama, NASCAR or Harley attire. Pallbearers will be Rusty Tidwell, Kerry Tidwell, Jeremy Wood, Joey Wood, Ryan Denton and Jacob Creel. Honorary pallbearers are David Richieson, Scott Lee, Billie, Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Smith, Cable dawgs of Tuscaloosa, all friends of his sons, Class of 84' from Holt High, the Holt community and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Clements.
